Shafqat graduated from NED University, Karachi, Pakistan in 1993 with a degree in Computer Engineering. Shafqat worked with ICS and DCS in Karachi and then moved to the US. He has been settled in Virginia since 2001 and works for a financial company. He received his MBA from the University of Maryland, College park.
Shafqat has been an active member of NEDA-DC since its founding and has been serving on the board for many years in the capacity of Director of finance. Shafqat lives with his wife and two sons in Chantilly, Virginia, and is an active member of the local community.
