Education and Professional Details:

  • 1980: Graduated NED (Mechanical)
  • After Graduation: Taught Solis Mechanics, Heat Transfer, and Technical Drawing.
  • Also same time during afternoon: Taught PNS Karsaz taught Heat Transfer and Thermodynamics.
  • 1982: Left Pakistan on August 14th for Mater in Industrial Engineering @ Iowa State University
  • 1984: Graduated in May with Honors recommended for PhD in Applied Operations Management
  • 1989: Earned May in Applied Operations Management
  • 1989: Right at graduation, Iowa State Offered Teaching Position in Business Operations Mgmt. Dept.
  • 1990: January 02, 1990 Joint University of Maryland System (Frostburg State University)
  • 1994: Earned early tenured due to extra ordinary contribution to University Programs
  • 1996: Early Promotion to Associate Professor (Gave incentive to retain me as a Professor)
  • 1996-2002: Served as Department Chair
  • 1999: Promoted to Full Professor. Severed as various positions including provide services at University, College, and Department levels.
  • 1990- Current: Active in Research, Publications, and conferences Presentations. In addition, active involve in business community services including Consulting.

 

Philanthropist and Community Involvement Details:

  • 1982-1989: During Studies, active involved in PSA served as a Treasurer, General Secretory, and President.  Introduced Pakistan Culture and Food to University and local Community through International food festival, varieties shows, and three annual functions: Ramadan, Eid Al-Fitr, and Eid Al-Adha.
  • 1997: Helped in Establishing English reading Computer Lab at Parkside Elementary School, LaVale, MD
  • 2005-Current: Setup Endowment fund under me and my wife name to give annual multiple scholarship in amount of $500 based on the account giving value. (Muslim Students is preferred)
  • 2012:    Islamic Society of Cumberland: Project director, major donor, and fund raiser in charge, to purchase Building and remodel it completely and got the designation in 2016: Islamic Society Cumberland. Served at various position for 22 years (Always one of these positions: President, Vice President, or Treasurer).  It is a beautiful Mosque at I-68, Exit 40. 
  • 2015: Went to Jordan to help Palestine refugee in non-fighting zone.   
  • 2016: Went to Greece. To help Syrian refugees for food and shelter
  • 2016-2018: Establish Primary School in our Parents s name in “Katchi Abadee” Karachi.  Handed over TCF with 3 years full support and now partial support.
  • 2017-2022: Chaired Frostburg State University-Maryland Annual Charity Campaign. Raised record funds for the local charities
  • 2018: Gave donation to Establish a clinic in Thatta, Sindh called “Hamara Clinic”
  • Currently: (2016-Current) LaVale Lions Clubs-Active member to support fund raiser event for the various local charities
  • Currently: (2023-Current) General Secretary NEDA-DC.  Supporting all current activities and Bringing news ideas to increase the Local community Partnership.
  • Currently working on a Project behind the scene with help of Dr. Sohail to Name as building in my name at NED University, Karachi. Plan is to donate money though NEDA_DC with matching donation with Google and other Company.
  • Current Annual Giving (To thanks mighty Allah-Swt): Food Bank, NEDA_DC, American Red Cross, CAIR: Council of American Islamic Relation. CARE Relief USA, Islamic relief USA, HHRD: Helping Hand Relief and Development, TCF: The Citizen Foundation Annual Gala, HDF: Human Development Foundation, ISNA: Islamic Society Of North America, ICNA: Islamic Circle of North America, Koohi-Goth Woman Hospital, Indus Hospital-Karachi, ISC: Islamic Society of Cumberland, MIC: McLean Islamic Center, and other reliefs [Educating support in Pakistan, Palestine relief, Turkey relief, Pakistan flood relief through various societies]
  • This is my self-actualization: To Serve Humanity. I’m thankful to Allah-Swt for giving health, wisdom, aptitude and capabilities to achieve that
